Today we have again something for the After Effects Beginners - the third Guru lesson is online. You learn how to use masks - including the new CS6 feature for per point mask feather.

The next lesson is also already in the making and will cover color correction and the curves effect.

Feature Comparison

Mocha and After Effects are much better integrated in CS6. In particular, you can directly start mocha from the After Effects menu. However, if you compare this to the features of MochaImport+ you will notice that there are still some differences:

Compatibility of After Effects CS6 and MochaImport+

We are currently doing beta tests of an update that makes MochaImport+ fully compatible with CS6. The update will be available free of charge and we plan to release it in time with the release of CS6.

The biggest new feature is the "Track in Mocha" button. It sends clips (including masks, in- and outpoints) from After Effects to Mocha with just one click. But there is much more, like the streamlined interface, an advanced stabilization rig and the status panel that shows you what kind of tracking data you need to export for your task.

We reached an agreement between both companies, to co-develop new products for After Effects, and other hosts. While each company will continue to sell and develop their own products, they will also co-develop new products together that will draw on each companies strengths.
